Toshiba has announced its first Blu-ray player, the Toshiba BDX2000. The BDX2000 delivers full HD 1080p digital output and supports 24fps playback.
It also supports AVCHD playback and DivX HD, together with Dolby True HD and DTS-HD lossless audio formats (including Master Audio). The new player also supports BD Live Profile 2.0, giving an opportunity to get at lots of interactive features via the player’s Ethernet connection such as adding the downloaded content to the Blu-ray disc. Another handy future is a SDHC slot. In the US the BDX200 will be available in November and will cost $250.
