The latest competitor in the smartphone market is HTC’s Touch Diamond. As the latest and greatest in High Tech Computer’s lineup of Touch smartphones, this little device is becoming the leading competitor to Apple’s famed iPhone.
Sporting the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional software and coming packed with many features available with popular smartphone brands, the Touch Diamond includes custom applications to let you watch online videos and make the most of Google’s mapping services. Best of all, HTC has given the Touch Diamond a phenomenal 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, providing high-resolution viewing that is sure to astound any user.
The real advantage of the Touch Diamond over competitors such as the iPhone is its support of 3G broadband networks, a major shortcoming in the iPhone models, which may only be rectified by Apple in models to be released later this year.
Additional features of the Touch Diamond include 4GB of internal memory, both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, and a 3.2 megapixel camera for capturing all those special moments. Weighing in at only 4 ounces and measuring less than 0.4 inches thick, this is one phone which you can comfortably take everywhere. The Touch Diamond is expected to be found in the United States sometime later this year. It will first enter European markets in June to compete head-to-head with the iPhone, and will be seen in Asia and the Middle-east later this summer.
