toshiba store art3 pocket Hard Drive

Toshiba has just announced that their new external hard drive STOR.E ART3 will be available in stores in the second quarter this year.

The drive will come in 4 capacity versions: 500, 640, 750GB and 1TB. The USB 2.0 interface will operate with a speed of 5400rpm and transfer your files with 480Mb/s. The average seek time is 12 ms. STOR.E ART3 comes with 8MB of cache. The drives will be sold with NTI BackupNow EZ backup software. There is no word about the pricing in Europe, but in the US it is $120 for a 500GB version, $140 for a 640GB one, $160 for a 750GB and $200 for 1TB.
